Raising awareness about the value and use of native grasslands, seasonal wetlands, grassy woodlands & other ecosystems on the Victorian Volcanic Plains

Rokewood Cemetery Grassland

By all accounts it is not a very good year for native grasslands as the season was warm and hot earlier than usual. I stopped off to look at the grassland at Rokewood Cemetery last week and although the featherheads were absent the button wrinklewort was still flowering. It is great to see that the simple fencing is still in place that helps the trustees to keep vehicles off the grassland.  Here are a few photos of the grassland and cemetery grounds.
