The Executive Committee of the Weed Society of Victoria Inc. is pleased to invite submissions of abstracts from speakers interested in presenting at the 6th Biennial Weed Conference.

The conference theme is past, present and future – history of invasive species management in Victoria, current work, and applying lessons of the past to plan for the future.

Acknowledging that many stakeholders also work with invasive animals, speakers are invited to discuss
issues, experiences and knowledge on invasive plant and/or animal science and management. Accepted
papers will be published in peer-reviewed proceedings to be distributed to all conference attendees,
selected papers will also be published in the Australian journal Plant Protection Quarterly.

Weed Society of Victoria conferences and seminars attract a wide range of attendees including land
managers, scientists, community and volunteer groups, management officers and advisors, government,
contractors and all people with an interest in invasive species.
