Raising awareness about the value and use of native grasslands, seasonal wetlands, grassy woodlands & other ecosystems on the Victorian Volcanic Plains

Devils in the garden

Many people wouldn’t necessarily think about grassland plants when Geelong Botanic Gardens is mentioned, but the road leading to the entrance is lined with native grasses and there is a small display garden with a selection of grassland plants. A patch of blue devils adds interest and colour though the summer. Geelong Botanic Garden’s nursery was one of the nurseries that grew and supplied seed for the Grassy Groundcover Recovery Project.
