NAIDOC celebrations are held around Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

There will be lots of activities for you to be part of but you may also like to watch two short films on the making of possum skin cloaks and see the enjoyment and benefits that such an activity brings to all involved in the project.

Through the workshops held in 2013, the young participants learnt about the significance of the cloaks to country, language, traditions and values, while building lasting connections with Elders, community members and each other.
