Chilean Needle-grass seed heads

Chilean Needle-grass seed heads

Here are 2 interesting pieces of research via Federation Uni. One relates to the noxious weed Nassella neesiana, Chilean Needle-grass. It is an invasive grass. As this weed is found in more pastures as time goes on, it is important to know how long the seeds of Chilean Needle-grass remain viable when this grass makes its way into emergency fodder.  This research concentrates on the potential duration of seed viability in the ensilage process. Nassella neesiana seeds ensilage effects (2016) Sc. Report.

The second paper looks the potential weeds to develop increased herbicide resistance to glyphosate under climate change and increased CO2  Nimesha et al. (2016) Glyphosate resistance
